Delta Aquarium's notes:

The Orange Spot Sleeper Goby is one of the most popular sand sifting Gobies kept in the hobby, due to their peaceful nature, attractive looks and abilities to keep the sand bed super clean. They will require a mature sand bed, at least 1" deep, to allow them to catch food particles whilst sifting through your sand. Supplement their food with a quality pellet food, such as Vitalis Marine pellets size x-small (available at Delta Aquarium). Without a mature sand bed, they will soon starve and go thin in the body. These fish love to burrow so make sure your rock work is stable and and resting on your glass or any suitable foundation. If you love your sand dwelling corals, you may want to think twice about adding one of these Gobies to your tank, as they love to turn your sand over and create mounds...after all, this is their home! A great working fish to add to your aquarium, with a good nature and great character.
